The Opportunity
Placr Recruitment is currently recruiting for an experienced and detail-focused Lab (Bulk) Analyst to join a well-established asbestos consultancy based in Brighton.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing and supportive business with over 20 years of industry experience, providing services including asbestos bulk analysis, surveying, and air testing.
The successful candidate will play a key role within the laboratory team, analysing asbestos samples accurately and efficiently while maintaining high standards in line with UKAS and HSE guidance.
The Role
Key responsibilities will include:
- Analysing bulk asbestos samples in accordance with UKAS and HSE guidelines
- Accurately recording and reporting analytical findings
- Producing and quality-checking bulk certificates
- Assisting with internal audits and quality procedures
- Maintaining high laboratory and compliance standards
- Managing customer enquiries regarding analytical results in a professional manner
- Working independently while supporting the wider team
About You
To be considered for this role, you will ideally have:
- BOHS P401 qualification (essential)
- Previous experience working within a UKAS-accredited laboratory
- Minimum 2 years' experience in a similar asbestos laboratory role
- Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
- The ability to work efficiently without compromising accuracy
- A proactive and professional approach
- Full right to work in the UK
- Full clean UK driving licence
