Port Services at Konecranes focuses on the service, maintenance and repair of lifting equipment and automation solutions within ports, harbours and terminals - equipment includes, mobile harbour cranes, straddle carriers and container handling equipment to name but a few.
We are recruiting a Port Service Engineer to carry out the maintenance and repair of this equipment.
All of our customer are located in coastal areas, so being willing to travel is a key requirement for this role as well as being mechanically-qualified. We are looking for candidates who are ideally based in the north of the UK, preferably in the northeast - Newcastle, Gateshead, Middlesbrough or the Humber area.
This role can also offer the opportunity to work overseas, but this is not a mandatory requirement.
Key Tasks and Responsibilities:
Mechanical installation, commissioning, inspection, and testing including service and repair of Port Solution products, such as harbour cranes and straddle carriers
Trouble- shooting equipment malfunctions
Consulting with customers on repair and safety related issues
Accurate and descriptive problem reporting
Completion of inspection and examination documentation as appropriate
